Reporter

My ambition is to be a newscaster instead of reporter. That's the reason I choose to study journalism and learn the skill of writing news. (that's only my own thought) Nonetheless, my university do not allowed journalism students to do our practical training in any TV broadcast station. I was shocked with my lecturer decision of assigning me to do my practical in The Star. As a Chinese education background student, working in English newspaper is a big challenge. Until now, I still couldn't express my feeling. Sometimes, I feel very happy and proud of myself of getting a chance to work there. But, the nervousness had drove me off in the first two months as well as my language barrier.
January 3 was my first working day in The Star. I had told myself not to neglect any learning chances and perform to the max.
In these three months time, working in The Star had enrich my life and I have learned a lot. As a journalist, we have to face all kind of challenges and it is not an easiest task. People always claimed that reporter is the most relaxing profession, they only need to gather information and write news. But, have they ever think of how reporter compete with time, everyday have to travel (raised your frustration when stuck in congested traffic), and also need to write the story on time. All these only can be taste when I start to work there.
Doctor lead in medical, Law for lawyer, politic matter for political analyst, etc. Reporter must or at least have the basic knowledge in EVERYTHING. Why do I said so?
